Steve Jobs pass through life

There have been some people whose lives leave some remarkable impression in history; excluding those who are remembered because they left a dark mark, the "nice" ones set their marks either because they did big and good, just good or just big things. But, there's a big difference in between "big" and "good" that separates one story from another.

Steve Jobs, through Apple, provided great improvements to technology, consumerist market has always been waiting for Apple's newest product since they usually provide some really nice improvements to interact with the physical devices, to display information in a nicer way and to improve storage and manipulation of media such as video, pictures and music.

As Microsoft does, Steve's computers have their own market to sell their products, talking about computers Microsoft covers more office oriented markets while Apple goes to production and design mainly.

Today is October 5, 2011 and Steve Jobs died

Some people may consider Steve Jobs as a genius others don't. As a matter of fact I consider the man a genius but probably for very different reasons. I feel deeply related with him most because of his decision to drop out of Reed College rather than whatever people said about his impact on technology was. I also drop out my College career because I felt I was losing my time there and lose my faith on formal education which I believe are similar reasons why Jobs did it.

He wasn't a computer or electronics hacker but he somehow manage to work with a real hacker named Steve Wozniak which was the actual genius behind the early Apple products.
Steve jobs was more like a business genius rather than a technological one.

He certainly had an impact on world's technology but not because for being an inventor or a genius but for being a visionary capable to see the commercial and technological potential of ideas that were considered ridiculous or too crazy at the time. He was the kind of person that make things happen instead of just talking about his dreams and I admired him because of that.

Steve Jobs' impact on Technology

Steve Jobs' life and death had a great impact on the technology that we use on a daily basis.

He invented, created, designed and launched many products that many people use today.
But one important thing that we should not forget, is that whatever he did, he could not have done it without an excellent team of smart professionals around him.

THE IPOD

As a technology blogger, I think his biggest hit was the iPod. The iPod was a revolution. No matter what size or version or generation, everyone wanted one.
At the beginning, if you had regular, black earphones, nobody would say anything; big, small, mp3 player, discman, whatever... you were just one more in the crowd.
But if you had white earphones, at school, at the shopping mall or at the beach, people would know for sure that you had an iPod.

One amazing thing is that at the time the first iPod was launched (2001), there were other mp3 players, capable of doing the same things, but they were not marketed properly.

MARKETING

Apple and Steve Jobs, they had one thing in common: MARKETING.
No matter how expensive your product is, if you make it look hot, the people will buy it.
If your product is not that hot, but you make the people think it's hot, they'll buy it.
If your product is not that cool, but you make it look cool, people will buy it because they'd think it's cool.
Once you have a product that the whole world is buying, because they think it's cool, you can sell other products, and the people will buy them becuase they are cool.

That my friends, is Steve Jobs' legacy.

Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs was a really important people in the world of computer and technology, He was a visionary and develop a lot of ideas for our current world.

He was a person who develop a big amount of guidelines for his company and a lot of people took it as the guides for the market. Creating a big impact in the society not just for his devices but for the change in the life style.

I don't think the world is going to be stuck because the lack of a genius mind that create, develop or give the new guideline to the future, but his legacy will remain for a long time
He was the co-founder of Apple. A visionary man know for many as the man in the black turtle neck shirt. Considered a genius and a visionary man not only in the technology but in the entertainment industry too as shareholder in Pixar. Steve Jobs.

He was forced to leave Apple in the 90's. From that moment on, the company didn't do well, sales went down and had a very small niche. In the early 2000's he went back to Apple as CEO and begun to make many changes. He was convinced that the best products not only work but are easy to use and look beautiful. That the user experience matters and even the packaging is important.

Being CEO he first product launch success was the first iMac, a computer targeted for the home user that was a success. It integrating the CPU into the monitor and offered them in a range of colors to chose from. He also introduced the PowerMac a computer for high demand tasks, he revamped the laptops introducing the MacBook and the MacBook Pro.

The more recently success and the mayor income for Apple comes from a product they weren't used to do, a phone. In 2006 Apple introduced the iPhone now, the best-selling smart phone in the world.
